http://www.healthyfitmom.com My daughter was only 1.5 years old when she started to get cavities in her two front teeth. We were vegetarian/vegan at the time. The cavities resulted from a high carb diet rich in soy and refined grain products. I was pretty devastated at time because all my effort was going towards raising her in a healthy way. However she was definitely not thriving. Her weight was low, she was pale, her teeth had big gaps in them and now her teeth were starting to rot. She was high needs as well and cried all the time. I was wondering how a child could be so miserable when there was nothing to be miserable about.

I started looking into the dental caries and discovered traditional foods. Traditional foods are a foods prepared the way our ancestors have prepared foods in just recent history before the commercialization and industrialization that we know so well today. Traditional foods are prepared in such a manner as to get the most nutrition out of a particular food. For example: grains, nuts and seeds are sprouted or soaked to make them more digestible and to release phytates that inhibits mineral absorption. Foods are preserved by fermenting which aids in the healing of the digestive system. Organ meats are a prized food and cherished for the nutritional value. Animals are fed food that they thrive on and allowed to pasture and eat insects which allow for their meat to have more nutritional value. Pasteurization of our food has killed many beneficial enzymes and denaturing proteins. Also the removal of fats has drastically decreased our absorption of fat soluble vitamins such as Vitamins A, D, E and K which are essential for immune, brain, bone and eye health. Low fat diets are dangerous because of this very fact.

Traditional fats are saturated fats. They are heat stable and don't go rancid very easily and therefore they are the preferred fats to use for cooking. They also make food taste delicious and more nutritious!

So we took the soy and refined grains out of our diet and replaced them with traditional foods. This is what healed the cavities! We did not even use toothpaste on our daughters teeth for the first 3 years of her life. No fluoride either! Just pure nutrition.

  • spirulina is high in vitamin A, for instance

  • @reforest4fertility Spirulina has a vitamin A content of 638 IU per CUP which is 13% RDA. Compare that to only one OUNCE of raw beef liver which is 4732 IU and 95% RDA.

Spirulina does not compare to liver very well.

  • True, but greens are also mineralizing. So instead of swinging from lousy vege or vegan diet to a liver & bone etc animal product diet, a vegan diet centering on greens, spanning thru other well-grown veges, fruits, sprouted nuts'n seeds, ferments, seaweeds, and very definitely, algae

  • @reforest4fertility Bone broths are an amazing way to mineralize. They are a great source of calcium, magnesium, phosphorous and many trace minerals. My hair, nails and teeth have never been stronger.

  • Soy is part of the new-age social engineering bullshit where they make people even more unhealthy when they want to be healhty. Don't fall for it, and all those other health frauds like margarine and using canola oil to cook which changes under heat. Soy has tons of estrogen and is bad for the brain. If you're a vegan at least get millet instead of wheat, almond coconut or rice milk instead of soy. Do the research before you follow the herd off a cliff

  • @SheSellsSeaShellscom on occasion, with most people, as reasonably desired, any traditional food is good for us, including soy, and everything else. 'No rules, just right', basically.

  • Raising a baby as a vegan is moronic (sorry, but wtf). Clearly babies need dairy. Glad you educated yourself.

  • Soy is extremely toxic, even most organic soy is not good, if it is not organic soy then it's most likely GMO. Drop the soy drink green organic fresh squeezed juice.

  • @CassieAnnaCary Not wheat, highly processed wheat. There is nothing wrong with wheat that is milled and used immediately without separating the germ from the other parts of the grain. That is why bread has no nutritional value. They are feeding the nutrient rich portions to animals and giving us the empty non-nutrient value portions. That is why bread is so fattening and does nothing beneficial for our diet.

  • @TheyLiveWeStillSleep What they aren't telling people is that Canola Oil does not really exist, and it is genetically altered Rape Seed Oil. The Rape Seed in its natural state is highly toxic and inedible. NO animal would eat it or go near it. It is a GMO, and in EVERYTHING. I believe this is one of the key elements in cancer causing agents in many people now.

  • I really like the information that you give, but you really need to talk a bit faster.

  • Sssshhhhhhh why are we whispering?

  • my god she talks slow

  • @robbrowner it relaxed me.

  • This just reinforces the facts: Wheat and soy are poison.
