This is a chapter from The Wisdom of Women, a book and meditation DVD from http://www.seescapes.com
St. Teresa of Avila (1515-1582) — mystic, reformer, and author — is one of the towering figures in Christian history. Shortly after taking her vows, Teresa became gravely ill, and began receiving visions. Eventually finding her original house too lax, Teresa reformed her Carmelite Order. She founded seventeen contemplative convents, despite suspicion by the Church hierarchy and a formal investigation by the Spanish Inquisition.
This is very beautiful. Thank you for taking time out of your life to make this. Saint Teresa is an inspiration to me.
