  • Will you people shut up about the racisim stuff, whatever it is, When I watched this that never came across my mind until idiots on you tube with there commets.

  • Why is this fim considered racist? I guess it's just terrible to have a film that tells the hard truth that blacks were slaves and that at least one old man found a way to be happy in spite of it and loved a white child and taught him a lot of things about life. It's hard to even buy this film in America anymore thanks to the politically correct, moronic Nazi thug types.

  • I've never seen this movie but i know this song, Disney just has a way of getting you know matter what ay?

  • This is a childhood memory for me. And anyone who is truly racist can go fuck themselves with a coat hanger.

  • Allow me to educate the mass of ignorance on this page.

This video is considered racist because of Paternalistic treatment towards slaves. Slave owners ACTUALLY THOUGHT that their slaves were happy on the plantation, and that without slavery, black people would be NOTHING. Slave owners thought they were doing them a favor. The slaves brave enough to run away to the north were assumed to have a mental illness, and if your slaved showed any of the signs, you simply beat it out of them.

  • @pepjrp Tell me where can one find those statistics besides FOX NEWS. Fuckin' tea bagger.

  • You know I remember once hearing Dave Chappelle saying in his stand-up, "don't ever be the first black guy to do something." Now I realize that he was absolutely right. James Baskett (the actor here and friend of Walt Disney) won an academy award for this song, the first black guy to ever do so, but he didn't even get to go the premier of the movie because Georgia was segregated by law and he couldn't go into a white theatre.

  • @heartfire451 especially considering the film was meant to take place after the civil war and all the blacks were just servants living on the plantation. Why else would Uncle Remus just be able to leave the plantation of his own accord like he did near the end of the film. This movie really needs to be restored and resold.

  • Another reason the south is so awesome.

  • ohmigosh! i remember this! but i can't remember for the life of me what show/movie this was from...

  • @remusnigga you're just jealous cos you have a tiny dick and your momma likes to suck on mine all day

  • I haven't smiled so big in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time!
