Callie was down in the living room with Ryan, he was joking around and playing video games with her. She couldnt help but let her mind wander back to someone. The legos, the pool games, the go karts..Had it all been for nothing? He made it seem that way, since it could never get serious, but then today..What was that about?

Ryan: Callie? Callie?

Callie: Huh?
Ryan: You never started your MarioKart! Im already at the finish line and youre only at the start line!
Callie: Oh sorry.
MarioKart, of course, thats why her mind had gone to thinking about Joe.

She told Ryan she was going to go to the bathroom, but she went up to Nicks room instead, hoping to find Rhiley.

Joe was just coming out of Nicks room and closing the door behind him. He spun around and smacked into Callie.

Joe: Sorry Cal. Didnt see you.

Callie: Is Rhiley in there?

Joe: Yeah but Ive been bugging them for the past hour, so I was giving them some time alone.

Callie: Oh.

Joe: You wanna take a walk?
Callie: Not particularly.
Joe nodded and walked off.
She missed him, but she didnt know what would happen if they were alone. It might be awkward, or something else might happen.

Callie followed behind Joe, and Nick & Rhiley came downstairs as well.

Ryan: I better get going Callie. Family dinner tonight.

Callie: Oh okay, say hi to your family.

Ryan: Will do, bye.
He gave Callie a kiss.

Rhiley: Bye Ryan.
Everyone else said bye.

As Ryan walked out the door, Joe yelled bye and waved, and kept waving until he drove off. Rhiley and Nick laughed at him.

Callie left the house without saying goodbye to Joe.
Joe: Shes not a big fan of mine right now.

Bailey: I wonder why..

It was the next day.
Callie was at her soccer game, she was getting pumped to win another game. After the first 10 minutes of the game, the team was on a break, when Callie saw Joe come up on the sidelines carrying a Gatorade.

She smiled and walked over to him.
Joe: Hey.
Callie: Hey. Thanks. (taking the gatorade from him)
Joe: Oh actually this is mine.
She laughed as she sipped it.
Joe: You look good out there. Your whole team does.
Callie: Thank you. This should help. (lifting her gatorade)
Joe: Thats the plan.
He smiled and kind of shifted back and forth.

Callie: You gonna stay for the game?

Joe: Course. Thought I could take you out to lunch after, or actually make sandwiches back at the house. Kevin and Bailey need them anyway, they are at the church all day today picking a date, so I thought Id drop them lunch off. We could..

Callie: Yeah, sounds good.
He looked relieved that she had actually agreed with him.

Callie: I gotta get back in the game.
Joe: Yeah okay. (smiling at her)
She held his gaze for a second and then ran back out to the field.
