New Hill Record, 1.45.3xx for CSP class, in a 1.6L STS car. 205 Falken Azenis K street tires.
My personal best from the previous year was a 1.46.0, and the standing CSP record was a 1.45.4. I couldn't get to even my previous year's personal best all weekend, I had a 1.46.3 on my 5th run. Finally on my 6th run I put it all together, but I was shocked to see it was a full second better! Just enough for the hill record!
I figured on Sunday that I wasn't going to get the record, so I was just playing with the camera and working just to get to my personal best from 2010, hence the rear facing angle for my last run. I think it turned out good though, it gives more of a sense of the speed I have to carry through the twisty parts of the hill to make up time.
Cameo by Andrew Leonard at the start holding the wheel chock, "hang loose" indeed!
Thanks to everyone who makes this race possible, specifically the Northwest Hillclimb Association, www.nhahillclimb.org
