The sample at 1:00-1:45 is from UK music exploiter extraordinaire, Malcom McClaren, "Duck Rock". It features two fantastic DJs in NYC taking requests, scratching records and the full disc/record features some of the greatest drumming styles and African musicians. This was groundbreaking in '84-85. Hope that helps. I still LOVE this original album. Listen to "Song for Chango". And find the liner notes of all of the musicians and the DJs.
