Halo 3 - Matchmaking Problems

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING A COMMENT:

The problem you see in this video can be fixed two ways the first is to through your current halo 3 disk out and buy a new one. the problem occurs when your disk is slightly dirty or scratched, and then you've download map packs or received an update. this creates what your seeing here as the data is not loaded properlly by the disk (which actully dosnt have to be very scratched). The only other option i've found to this problem is to transfer all halo 3 memory from you hard drive to a memory card then take your disk clean it well then re copy the data back to the hard drive. The second option may not work, but the first will deffently work as soon as i got a new disk i could do everything i use to be able to and had all the map packs etc. attached.

NOW THAT YOU"VE READ THIS PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A COMMENT ASKING ME HOW TO FIX IT CAUSE THESE ARE THE ONLY TWO ANSWERS I'LL GIVE YOU AND I DO NOT WANT TO PEPEAT MYSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

dude if you wait a couple seconds.... might take a biotlonger dpending on ur connection. the playlists should pop up eventuly..... that error pops up for me every time butonly for like 3 seconds while its trying to load the information

man that is shit. only other thing i could think of.... is the above thing might be ruining it..... try a different halo 3 disk. may not sound like it'll work but i'd give it a shot. and if worse comes to worse and you wanna go to extremes. delete all halo dater on ur console and start fresh.

I use to be able to play h3 but now i have a new connection i opened my NAT and it still does this .. i go into social slayer i will find a lobby then just as the game is about to start i get sent back to the matchmaking menu ... this is pissing me off.

are you friggen kidding me? i have the halo 3 odst disk with all the map packs not scratched at all and it does this. i just cleaned it and now it wont read the disk at all so now im gunna waste more money buying the odst disk and the odst game when the game works perfectly but the halo 3 disk doesnt work. im pissed.

Remove the external HD and try to match make....works for me. Prolly a problem with the data off the HD.

OMg! that's exaclty what I have and it has been bothering me all day! I did get my disc used at gamestop. So What does this mean now... new Disc?
