I apologize for what my generation has done music, even if I was born in the 90s, I only started listening to music in the 2000s. It's really sad to say but American Pie brought me here. Actually this was the only song that hit me throughout the whole movie, it was nice that they put this song close to the end. Music of my generation, Y U NO HAVE MEANING LIKE THIS?!!?

@branwille007 honestly it sounds like you are fond of nostalgia to the point of making things from the past out to be way better than they were and things from the present to be much worse than they are. most of todays music has meaning. very similar meaning to music from every other generation. a slow tempo and a sad sound doesnt mean the song is deep. you can put enlightened thoughts to a techno beat, and can put bullshit to a soulful melody.
