A little late for me to comment, but hopefully when you see it you will be a Marine. Good luck!

  • Im 13, I Know 100% that I am doing this, Any advice?

  • @studfool49 When I was 13 I thought for sure I was going to be a doctor..Your 13 your mind is going to change. At the age of 13 and if you really want ot start training or doing drill I would join Young Marines, its an awesome program I was in it before i joined the Marine Corps.

  • @studfool49 im int he young marines now. im 18 and i leave for marine corp boot camp in 24 days. the young marines teaches u a lot. u learn a lot of drill (marching), knowledge (history, rank structure, etc), team building (PT that involves everyone or teams to work together to succeed or win), discipline (YM has ranks and u are expected to obey higher ranks), and physical training (PT [physical training] which helps u stay or get in shape). its a good program and fun to. they also do trips

  • @smithriverdude Precisely, smithriverdude. As a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army and a drill sergeant, I can honestly tell you it is all a mind game, an attempt to reprogram civilians into soldiers. It may be a shock early on, but you eventually adapt to the mindset and I even saw many privates emulate it in their comings and goings as each Basic cycle wore on. While not a Marine, the concept transcends branches. Don't let it get to you.

  • @studfool49 It's all head games

  • @studfool49 For Boot Camp, or just in general?

  • What is the piece of equiptment on the modern helmet (i wore a 'pot'...you could cook in it, dig with it, tote with it, sit on it, and shit in it...and the Kevlar?...you wear it.)

  • im a corporal in the young marines so if anybody has any ?s about the marines here are some answers to FAQ's. its all a mind game to prepare you for combat stress. join a young marine unit where you live and if you can do mcjrotc

  • @studfool49 im 15 Im in the young marines. Start working out now. if you cant take any pain or if yer a pussy dont do itg

  • @studfool49 graduate high school first.
