  • The band Paradise Lost is inspired on the book "Paradise Lost" of John Milton, in special the character Satan.

  • Paradise Lost never was christian. It´s sometimes atheistic and sometimes anti-christian, but always with that sadness.

  • No, this song it is not about suicide. It´s a talking between the singer and God about the concept of life. The band Paradise Lost is completely inspired on the book "Paradise Lost" of John Milton, I have it, most specifically the character Satan or Lucifer. At those times of the album, Paradise Lost had influences on 80´s goth bands, but the essence it was always the same in the entire discography of the band.

  • This version of Permanent Solution is named Permanent Solution (Radio Mix) and can be found on Permanent Solution Single.

  • I've been following them since the very beginning, and although I'm a metalhead, I think they reached their finest point right here. Should have stayed there. Their new music is good, but kinda worn. Like old territory.

  • They really did something brave and succeded with Host, what I dont like about the video is that the rest of the band is not there ):

  • This PL era is great, host is an excellent album. For those closed-minded metalheads who claim they sold out: fuck off

  • @VinMetal666 If you knew them you´d know that Paradise Lost was never about making metal, but making music. And almost every song they wrote is worth listening to, even if they all are very different. One second, Host and Believe in Nothing were great LP even though they weren´t that heavy. @GeertWilders147 You´re not oldschool. I can tell by your name that you are nothing more but turd on the heels of mankind.

  • LOL this was a metal band and is a metal band again. Why did they suddenly become a gay version of Filter/NIN/Depeche Mode in the late 90s?

  • those guys make albums every week. they turn grunge when grunge is in vogue, and thrash whenever needed.

  • If yr a gay yr right and I would agree, but Im not, Im more of the oldschool generation which makes me laugh what you said, moron. I guess you listen to boysbands too.

  • @GeertWilders147 probably you know nothing from music

  • What a fkkn gaynband this is now,omg cant believe how gay they are,its the worst change in music ever!!

  • I think this version is their best song. Too much underestimated. Not only this song, but this whole era. Btw, does anyone know the director?
