This is a short animation made with Autodesk Inventor Studio 2011 of a Align T-rex 450 Pro. The animation isn't rendered, instaid it was computed realtime. Thats why I got my axis on the bottom left corner, and there aren't any graphical extra's like AA, shadows, reflections, a environment or lights.

I reverse engineered the whole helicopter down to each individual part. I did this for a couple of reasons, one is that I like modeling and like the detailed analyzing of the individual parts. Secondly I'm planning on designing my own frame for the Align T-rex 450 Pro, containing the stock head and tail boom assembly. Having a CAD of all the parts will definitely help the design process, because I can determine the center of gravity, the stress points and other useful stuff.

  • Is it possible to create a part (or an assembly) with light ? For example, a keyboard with the CAPS led on.

  • @Christomb The inbuilt rendering feature of Autodesk Inventor 2011 is rather limited. I don't know it you are able to do that. However, with the render package of Autodesk, Showcase, you are able to create light points within your model.

  • Netjes alweer!

  • @Stefkesplace, Dank je! Het werk is bijna gedaan :D

  • amazingly perfect .. make it spin to 3000rpm

  • How did you model the canopy. I too have modeled my trex 500, but the canopy with compound curve is a big headache. It's very useful for checking battery size fit.
