General Rick Hillier- Edmonton troops & Canada's War of 9/11 Retribution

General Rick Hillier, CMM, MSC, CD (born 1955), is the former Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Forces. General Rick Hillier, born in Newfoundland and Labrador, enlisted in the Canadian Forces in 1973 through the Regular Officer Training Plan program. He graduated from Memorial University in 1975 with a B.Sc. degree. In May 2003 Hillier was appointed Commander of the Army, and in October 2003 he was selected as the Commander of the NATO-led International security Assistance Force (IsAF) in Kabul, Afghanistan. General Hillier was promoted to Chief of the Defence staff in February 2005 and stepped down in the summer of 2008.

Are Canadian troops in Afghanistan in part as a mission of 9/11 retribution?
I asked General Rick Hillier if he would respond to comments made by the former Defence Minister Gordon O'Connor in Edmonton January 20, 2009 and later reported in newspapers across the country.

It should be reported here that while attending a town-hall meeting at an earlier date with Edmonton Center MP Laurie Hawn: Secretary to the Minister of National Defence,
I asked Laurie for his reaction to Gordon's use of the wording " retribution for 9/11."
Laurie said this was not a mission of retribution and he thought the media (CANWEST-The Edmonton Journal ) mis-quoted Gordon O Conner's wording.

I've checked other media sources and re-confirmed that Gordon has used the wording "9/11 retribution"

Canada has never conducted a criminal investigation into the crimes of 9/11/01 or the 24 Canadians murdered.

CBC the Fifth Estates Bob McKeown reported November 2009 that the majority of Americans believe their government had advance knowledge of the impending attacks of 9/11, and may have allowed it to happen. The number of Canadians who agree with this scenario is now one of three.
It seems like only yesterday that number was one of five.
