  • No, the left arm collapsing is the left arm just being lazy. It takes some effort and training to keep the left arm straight. That is the whole point of the training aid, it is giving you the feedback you need to train yourself to do that. If the left arm stays straight the right arm cannot move too far. Depending on your level of flexibility you will get to a point where it is impossible to go any further, that is the top of the backswing for you.

  • @golfschools Interesting-my pro insists the right arm moving too far is causing my left to break down. I also see other teachers suggesting the left arm is passive and pushing a right arm takeaway. Guess there's more than one way to skin a cat. I'll experiment down the range to see which feeling works best. Cheers
