A classic which I've tried to translate to a bit of smooth jazz.

    thx

  • @mmmwww9999 Thank you for the feedback. Glad it was relaxing.

  • never heard a version like this before. very classy rendition of the working man song. I heard this song on "Joe Versus the Volcano" when I was a kid. I'm curious to look up the earliest version i can find on youtube.

  • @MTWalker12 Yeah Eric Burdon had a great rendition of this song. BTW, you might like my freestyle interpretation of House of the Rising Sun, another Eric Burdon hit. Let me know what you think. It's heavily stylized.

  • nice alteration man! I love the tenessee eddie version but I must say this is pretty cool too. Peace man!!

  • Thanks for your comment. Listening to your great playing is inspiring too, especially the blues, which I hope to master some day. I like the photographic wallpaper on your YT homepage. Be well.

  • Dear Hal - i see a lot of daylight for you here! you really made this "new." The quotes you chose on your homepage say it all. Louis Armstrong and Frederic Chopin thought the same way.... just like your cool vid. Thanks!

  • Congrats. Settings I selected on the YPG 625 were style 57 Jazz Club, MDB 001 Alv Fever, Dual = On, Harmony = On, and then you can pick the voices you like best. Enjoy! Check out my "Gershwin collides with Withers" song on the Roland Fantom X I recently got. I was trying for a smooth jazz flavor.

  • OK I bought mine TODAY! WOW! What accompaniment are you using on this improv?!

  • I personally had zero problems with the YPG. However, I have seen a couple of online comments about speaker rattle (which I never experienced). It's a terrific keyboard and has been completely dependable. My suggestion is, as soon as you get it, crank it up to the highest volume you will ever need to make sure it does not have such an issue. Good luck. I'd recommend a Yamaha 5 year extended warranty. It's cheap and would give you greater confidence. Good luck .
