I agree, the claim about Mary IS unfair. She only burned about 300 at the stake. Compare that to the 10,000 that Longshanks (Edward I) had killed when he sacked the town of Berwick!

I like Mary's fainting reaction when Henry reminds the Lord's that they wanted her dead. Poor kid.
She is considered one of the worst human beings of all time because she burned so many people although her reign was no more bloody than her Father's, and less blood than other King's of England. Therefore, that claim is rather unfair.

That's why the people of England took away the power from the kings and queens. They really thought that they and God were on one accord. The people had more sense than their monarchs.
