This video was shot by some volunteers of the Cincinnati Blues Society for archival purposes two years befor Albert's death. I figured some Blues Lovers might enjoy watching some of the city's past "Blues Heroes". Pictures were donated by Steven Tracy. This particular footage was filmed at the 1996 Cincinnati Blues Festival. I just edited some pictures into the performance to cover up any mistakes that the camera man made. I tweaked the audio a little bit (there was only so much that I could do though) to make it sound better. Become a Cincinnati Blues Society Member today for only 20 bucks a year!

  • Amazing harmonica. I may be a little biased though...he's my dad ;-)

  • Just produced an episode of my show and your dad's name is mentioned twice, and his picture is shown twice. In the near future, I will be doing an entire episode in honor of Dr. Steven Tracy! Oh yea! He is the man and your lucky to have him as a father!

    Peace!

  • Thanks for posting this. I use to see Albert at Vet's Inn back in the 70's and use to run into him at the record distributor that I worked for in Cincinnati. Albert was always bringing in his latest 45 release. What a beautiful soul he had. Great Great clip!

  • My first time hearing any of Steve's harp playing. Great, aggressive tone. A little Butterfield...o.k., a lot....an little Portnoy..a little Steve....
