I find this experiment truely interesting altho i dont understand a lot of it i understand the inital reason for it been carried out. I hope that when its fully running that some of physics misterys will be uncoverd as its all a learning curve and can only take us forward = D .......

no matter what happens in past..we had to thinkin' what will happend in the future..
I think so
-
I dont undrustand wy so many people are scared as i know the only WAY this EXPERIMENT to fail is that the physics are wrong and if that happens, and we survive.
THEN WE HAVE TO BUILT PHYSICS FROM BEGINNING
-
Except the ones with guns. Then they just get scary.

Conspiracy nutters are so funny

That's me, not an employee of CERN. I'm a tourist and computer geek. I think I did well to spot the big gun thing and know (roughly) what it was. The fact that it was yellow and someone else had just told me did help.

why does particles even have mass? what cause it? this is one mind bending thing.

E=mc² - particles have energy, therefore they must have mass, however minute an amount it may be.
After all, you and I are made of particles. If they didn't have mass then neither would me. It's not that they don't *have* mass, it's just a very very small amount per particle.
What's mind-bending is how billions upon billions of them somehow manage to stick together in certain ways to make people, animals, mountains, trees... :)
