It's not inevitable that you would bank with one of the big ones. I've successfully avoided doing any business with the big banks for YEARS. It's called a Credit Union, Michael- they work great and if you find the right one you can take care of all your financial needs without needing to resort to big banks.

It doesnt have to be inevitable that your with a big bank. I dont get that hypocracy.

In some areas its very hard to join a credit union, but there are still local banks all over and for credit unions they can do anything a large bank can but better.

And small banks should equally be as capable.

There is no excuse.

I am with a credit union and still while traveling all over the US it has not hindered me. I have gotten a 20k loan from credit union for 5.5% interest, etc...
