The last Formula 1 race at Monaco with a field of V10 engines was the one to watch and hear.

Kimi Raikkonen was consistently in the 1:15s, and drove away from the field easily qualifying earlier P1. Plenty of overtaking throughout the race made it an exciting one to watch.

If you've got questions about your trip to the Monaco GP, feel free to drop a line. (www.sff1.com) This video is shot from K7, the view into Piscine. The traction control systems on the cars are distinctly audible as the cars go through the chicane.

  • 8 people dont have a fucking clue about Formula 1 whatsoever

  • i was sitting in the very same stand man!! so good

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo F1 has never bored me. I absolutely love it. I just happen also to love Nascar. Yes, I wish they would loosen up restrictions on the cars but it is far different than IROC. The teams are building their own cars and some teams are smarter and build better race cars. Nascar utilizes much of the same technology in building cars as F1 - 7 post, wind tunnel, etc. Of course, F1 cars are light years ahead, but that's not what Nascar is about.

  • @brad43210 I only had enough characters to talk about technology and F1 drivers also have teams and racing is racing! Everyone wants to win! So I'm missing the uniqueness of NASCAR. It has become more like the IROC series where the cars are identical. Performance wise, nothing comes close to F1. Its astonishing what these machines and drivers can do. However, it can be pretty boring. The cars are looking more and more alike. ALMS, Super-Touring cars, and Speedvision World Challenge are my favs.

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo I don't care what relevance any racing series has to the showroom. Being at the forefront of technology is not what Nascar is about. That's what F1 is about. F1 snobs wanna look down their nose at those in Nascar as if they are trying to be what F1 is but are simply too stupid to be. Nascar is about teams and individuals ou performing their peers and rivals in identical equipment. BTW, I would love to have been around to see the Can-Am series.

  • @brad43210 Not at all. Race cars were once platforms on which auto manufacturers and private racing teams tested and developed new technologies that were then homologated into production cars. Win on Sunday, sell on Monday ya know? CAN-AM is perhaps the best example of this and resulted in some of the wildest cars ever created. NASCAR no longer has any relevance to the showroom (carburated engines? WHY?) where F1 technologies like disc brakes, carbon fiber, etc can be found everywhere.

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo So you're saying it's an undisputable fact that F1 is great and an undisputable fact that Nascar is a joke. I have no problem with loving one, hating the other but that is an absurd stance you've just taken.

  • @brad43210 The difference is I actually have an answer for NASCAR fans. There are quantifiable reasons (facts) as to why F1 is great. NASCAR does not have this (anymore).

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo Most Nascar fans would ask of you the same thing about F1. I am very rare that I enjoy Nascar and still appreciate the greatness of F1. Most Nascar fans think F1 is a joke.

  • @brad43210 How is NASCAR great?
