Scottish Diesels 1970s recordings now available as downloads

In Cumbernauld Glen during Sunday Diversions the 1300 Glasgow-
Edinburgh and the 1230 Edinburgh-Glasgow cross. 18.5.75.


In Cumbernauld Glen 24.148 heads Northwards with a Down Freight train
on 20.5.75.

At Edinburgh Waverley 55.022 Royal Scots Greys passes light then
returns and couples to the 1600 Edinburgh-Kings Cross train on 12.2.77.

1600 to Kings Cross leaving Waverley behind 55.022, 12.2.77.

At Waverley West end, the 1630 Edinburgh-Glasgow departs and crosses
the 1548 Cowdenbeath-Edinburgh DMU, 12.2.77.

A 3-car DMU of mixed Cravens and Metro-Cammell stock leaving North
Queensferry on the 1645 Kirkcaldy -Edinburgh working on 12.2.77. Note

40.166 Leaves Perth and runs through Moncrieff Tunnel on the 1117
Aberdeen-Glasgow service. 4.7.75

20.110 and 20.039 pass Rutherglen Station on a General Terminus-Clyde
Iron Works ore train, 27.6.75

40.184 heads 2030 Stirling-Dover Motorail train through Cumbernauld
Glen on 17.5.75.

At Dullatur the 1600 Edinburgh-Glasgow and the 1630 Glasgow-Edinburgh
push-pull trains cross. 16.5.75

At Motherwell Diesel Depot, 47.469s engine is started up, runs for a few
moments, is stopped, started and run up once more. 16.2.77


Outside Motherwell Shed at the South end 20.117 passes and runs into the
shed to fuel. 16.2.77

20.117 completes fuelling and moves out of No. 1 Shed Road to the North
end exit to the Depot. As 20.117 passes, 40.136, lying outside the Shed in
No. 2 Road, starts up. Motherwell, 16.2.77

At Motherwell DD on 16.2.77, 40.136 idling in No. 2 Road outside the shed
moves off to the North end of the Depot. 25.026 then moves through No. 2
Road inside the Shed and out to the North end. 40.136 returns into No. 4
Road inside the shed and is coupled to 47.469 (dead), then moves off to the
North end. This movement is followed out of No. 4 by 47.207. From the
South end 27.025 arrives in No. 1 Road inside the Shed to fuel, and from the
North end 40.136 propels 47.469 (dead) into No. 1 Road and stops outside
the shed. 25.237 then moves up No. 1 Road from the South end behind
27.025.

20.146 hauls 20.116 (dead) out of No. 2 Road inside Motherwell DD
towards the North end of the Depot. 16.2.77

Inside the South end of Motherwell DD 25.237 and 27.025 stand idling in
No. 3 Road. 40.136 sandwiched between dead locos 47.469 and 20.116
moves into No. 2 Road from North end of Depot and stops inside the Shed.

25.093 heads a Northbound Class 6 Freight through Cumbernauld Glen on
20.5.75.

40.166 leaving Gleneagles on 1117 Aberdeen-Glasgow service on 4.7.75.

1430 Glasgow-Edinburgh push-pull train worked by two class 27s leaves
Falkirk High and accelerates through the tunnel. 12.2.77
