Westminster Council leader made a speech recently calling for an army of volunteers to step forward as part of his 'living city' propaganda imitative. So a group of bikers have stepped forward to help Westminster Council draw greater attention to their mobile CCTV smart cars, which the council claim are not used to raise revenue, but are there as a deterrent, for our safety.

  • Well done guys! It's nice to see motorcyclists and scooterists looking out for other vehicles on the road (it's a shame car drivers don't do a bit more of that). I've seen those City of Westminster CCTV camera cars illegally parked in dangerous positions ...and Westminster City Council says it's all in the name of safety - yeah right! We all know the only reason councils operate these scamera cars is to make even more money from motorists. Keep up the good work motorcycle and scooter riders! ;)

  • I see an illegally parked smart car.

  • Superbly done, it's a great way of making a real difference to the councils intention to say one thing and then do another. If Britains councils were particularly noted for their honesty with regards to public statements, their finances or their actions then this sort of thing wouldn't be necessary. But they regularly lie about things, important things.

This here is the council being policed by the public and both public and council should welcome it.

    Nice film style too.

Its not only lawbreakers who are worried about the constant surveillance of us all. Im not keen on being watched as I go about my lawful business. If the Authorities decide you are a risk to anything, they can easily track your every movement, from your front door to your destination.. From street cameras to numberplate recognition cameras, and now they will follow your emails, texts and phonecalls too.

Are you really happy about this level of state supervision?
