Wonderful works, it is very noticable how much you adore this person. You are doing good, but i'd suggest paying much more attention to proportions. Also you don't have to copy everything line to line - you can make guidelines by helping yourself to start out from a simpler shape. You can also add more light and shadows to your pictures, because that will make him look like he's not flat. Try examining your references for tones and values.
