From the BAE Govan shipyard. 27//11/2007. 1405 hours. A perfect launch on a very dull day.
We will have six in total. HMS DARING & HMS DAUNTLESS have been handed over to the Royal Navy. Within hours of this being typed (17/9/2010 @ 2300hrs) DIAMOND (3rd ship) will sail for Portsmouth, where she will become HMS DIAMOND. Ships 4 & 5, DRAGON & DEFENDER are currently being outfitted at BAE Scotstoun. The sixth and final ship, DUNCAN, will be launched on the 11th of October 2010.
