HPS are goog but the life time the mercury lamp better!

the way i see it each ending suffix is an slight change in design, and the general electric m-400's kept the same body shape right up until the m-400-r3/a3 came out.

to be honest i prefer mercury vapour lamps as they give off a soft glow but the HPS lanmps aren't that bad either

Right, but Mercury Vapor lamps are the best, 'cause of their soft flourescent whitish tones.

I really miss the glow of mercury vapor lights everywhere, It gives everything a wintery soft glowing look at night, HPS orange are just ugly and Commercialized looking, Who else agrees?

Yeah, me, too!
Brockton uses HPS lamps.
Holbrook, MA uses Mercury Vapor and it's the next town over from Brockton near Avon.
But Boston uses a lot of Mercury Vapor.
