I have been using Extra Virgin Olive Oil to remove my eye makeup for a year. I remember someone told me how one of their friends work at Estee Lauder's makeup factory. The person mentioned how the giant bins they use to mix the eye makeup remover formula had to be replaced often because they corroded and disentegrated the bins. Horrified, I threw away my eye makeup removers and seek for a new option. I found that Extra Virgin Olive Oil not only removed all my makeup, but left my eyes feeling soft, my lashes conditioned and my skin supple. This natural eye makeup remover does not clog the pores or cause milia. Enjoy your inexpensive makeup remover!

I wouldn't recommend any particular brand, just make sure you buy EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL (in Spanish, ACEITE DE OLIVA VIRGEN EXTRA; in French, huile d'olive vierge extra; in Italian, olio d'oliva virgen extra).
The virgin extra kind looks midly green and has a bit of olive smell on it (actually, a really nice one).
In Spain, a gallon of that would cost anyhting between 15 to a 100€, depending on the product itself and the variety of olive it came from.
There are several degrees of purity, depending of the number of times the olives are pressed to get the oil. In the last stages even heat is added to the process, I think.
However, the purest olive oil is the extra virgin kind; that kind comes from cold pressed olives and is the very first one to be gotten, so is the purest ever. If a bottle only reads "olive oil", it could come from a third or fourth pressing, even using heat on it (it would lose many properties then).
Hi, So I came across your post and wanted to ask. Which olive oil is the best since you live i n spain. Do you recommend any particular one that is the most purest. I'd love to know since I want to use on the best on my skin. Thanks so much in advance. Saludos desde San Francisco!
