Such a beautiful building-SO SAD that 200 ft had to be cut off to appease some stupid residents and the Empire State building! THIS IS NEW YORK PEOPLE! We have a history of building tall- and we are greatly losing the race to the sky to middle eastern nations at that! Come ON! The Empire State building is 17 Blocks away! It wont be outstaged!- Central Park is 8 blocks away- if the dam building cast a thin shadow it, who the hell cares! They cancel this height -but allow the UGLY Vornado Tower?

Its suppost to be taller then The chrysler building , But not the empire state building .

This building was finally approved. The residents in the area didn't want a building this tall built on their block but MoMA won out and construction will start shortly. The final height of this building will be 1,050 feet or the same as the Chrysler building. It will have between 82 and 88 floors. It will house a new gallery for the museum, a 5 star hotel, and 150 luxury condominium units.
