  • i broke my 1st E string trying this, is that common?

  • @VacantFishTank No, it is not common. It can happen sometimes for any number of reasons and it doesn't necessarily mean bad or cheap strings. Try again. If it happens continually, go to a store for assistance.

  • You're an idiot for thinking Pierre Bensusan invented DADGAD.

  • I don't need a freakin' history lesson, just show me how to tune!

  • Davy Graham and Bert Jansch were using it in the early 60s when Bensusan was in short pants.

  • @ChambreNoir The CRUIT, a small harp or lyre, plucked with the fingers was played with a bow about four hundred years before Christ. It was an oblong-shaped instrument, with a neck and finger-board, having six strings.

  • @neogeoriffic Ancient Celtic musicians did not have six-string guitars.

  • Actually, DADGAD tuning dates back to ancient Celtic music.

  • its hard to hear the sound of the string when you talk right after you play it

  • Kashmir!!!

  • @VacantFishTank usually when it is cold weather your strings tend to snap very easily. Last winter i snapped my bottom E when tuning

  • @VacantFishTank I have one guitar that used to break the E string 1/4 times when I'd tune down to D. Finally ran a small file through the nut slot and haven't had the problem since.
