  • There were 2 audio versions of the ending credits that were aired on Friday nights....not the one that's abbreviated from the ABC daytime shows from the early 70s. Wish someone out there who may have copies of either, or BOTH these versions would post them on here. The 1971-72 season had 8 shows, in which the shorter version was played at the end of the program.

  • Yes, I love those clips, also!!

  • Very cool!!

  • Thank you, Maureen :)

  • WHOA--I am SO impressed!! You really know your 70s songwriters. I was a FAN of the Patridge Family TV show, too :) LOL! I think David Cassidy was my "first" crush!

  • Yes and the Cowsills were great doing the 1st Love American Style theme, which was replaced by the Bahler brothers, Jackie Ward and Stan Farber or Ron Hicklin who were the Partridge Family vocalists backing up David Cassidy and Shirley Jones. All of them have a great sound and I miss those days!!

  • Thanks so much for finding and sending me the LOVEAMERICANSTYLE intros--I love it!! I did not know Garry Marshall did some writing for that TV show!!

  • The Partridge Family TV Show was originally going to be about the amazing family music group "The Cowsills"

some of their hit songs "The rain, The Park and other things, Indian Lake, We Can Fly... and who can I forget..."HAIR" [long beautiful hair...shining, gleaming, gimmmie down to there [HAIR]shoulder length or longer... lol yes I'm a music nut. I was a Top 40 radio DJ back in the day. lolol

  • Never heard of the Cowsills...Yes, in '71 I was 5 :D

  • I was STILL a mere child--:P LOL!
