Asking the Malaysians to stay the way they are, "with ur corruption and pro-malay policies", "dun be like Singapore with 'fake' democracy, your malaysia country's democracy and freedom is more real", is not sarcastic????? Are you telling me your comments are very gracious? With "no ill intentions"???? Are you joking or are you raving mad? Which reader here is going to buy into your contradictory statements here? I am sure glad you are not running Singapore.

Yes. They should stay the way they are with their corruption and pro-malay policies. What is wrong about saying that? If it works for Malaysia, and Malaysia leaders believe it is the best for their country, why change? I said corruption policies, never said Malaysia are corrupted. As for sarcasm, I already told you. The speech giver has no ill intentions, it is how the listener chooses & determines the meaning that's all. I can't help you with that. And pedra branca belongs to SG, that's a fact~

Singapore is also a tiny piece of land with no real resources. That is also a fact. Now imagine if an American or a Malaysian were to say that to you. Or that Singaporeans are arrogant, selfish, materialistic, and so on. It is when you say things that influence how they are interpreted. Blabbing and then claiming that it is the reader's responsibility to sift out your good intentions from the kind of things you state isn't being very responsible, is it?

How we phrase things, when we say certain things, is a huge part about communication, Armyboy. Your tone in the original message was not at all congenial. I don't anyone would think it was. You may have a very noble view of your intentions, but that is certainly not how it came across. Ask around for other opinions. It isn't just about mine.

Imagine? No need imagine, there are bound to be different ppl in this world who dislike or criticize about Singapore. If it is me, I would be humble and learn to accept the criticisms so that Singapore can further succeed and improve as a peaceful and prosperous country. I would not be so free to go around youtube picking on what ppl say or phrase their comments...because I have a life...hehe =)

Unfortunately, there are many people who are way more sensitive and easily offended than you. I do agree with your spirit of humility, as that is also what I believe. But other people hearing searing comments may not hold back their weapons. Please be careful in what you say, no matter how well-intentioned.

Yeah, I totally agree with you on that too. That there are indeed many people who are WAY more sensitive and EASILY offended. LOL...maybe they should be careful with what they choose to hear, read or interpret...no matter how ill intentioned they believe those comments on youtube may be... =P
