Amorphis is a Finnish metal band started by Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari and Esa Holopainen in 1990. Initially, the band was a straightforward death metal act, but in later albums they evolved into playing other types of genres.

Too sad Pasi had to go. His voice wass unique, even though this album was quite poor-produced.

Miss him in Amorphis.

At least, Tomi Joutsen does a great job, just not as great as Pasi's.

@Varathran Yeah, this is the pasi era. New amorphis is almost like a combination of old era and pasi era, with some new elements too.

@malefi Pasi had an excellent studio voice, but he really didnt pull it off live. Tomi's voice is better all round, but a totally different style ... in some ways i do miss pasi's vocals, but i think amorphis made the right decision in the end:)

I like the newest album and Tales from a Thousand Lakes best. I like all their albums, though (apart from parts of Am Universum and Karelian Isthmus).

Actually new Amorphis sound like old Amorphis, the sound they have in this song is middle Amorphis.

I like the new Amorphis better, but that's probably because i just found them and heard The newest album first. Idk, i just like the new singers voice better, but this is still awesome
