Anyone remember Peakers hardware on Whitaker Lane? And that strange weird hardware smell? In fact anything on Whitaker Lane in 70's 80's?

didnt see flower gardens..........or Renos and Tonys Mama house on Barnard...Thats a land mark drug dealers house...Very shadey place...Got a safe in the bird cage out back too

Top of Cockoo lane, I knew a guy who lived on the south side of Guest Rd on the corner ( Manchester side) of B o Rd, he went to Australia in the 70's. his name was G.B.

Is Bri-Tannic still there? Always remember that ad at the Mayfair, plus the tip-top drinks. Went to see Star Wars there in 1977 and went there regularly. I wonder has anyone got any footage of St. Joseph's High School on Sandgate Rd. I went there (I know it's in Whitefield, not Prestwich) but It no longer exists. Happy memories. Great video, cheers :)

I don't think Bri-Tannic is still there. However the deli/grocers next door is. The lady there still sells those astonishingly good bagels! I spent my childhood 100 yards from that row of shops!

@M77174 Alas I have to report the Polish Deli is now gone :( New Tesco express down the road may have done for it.
