gsus sindustries & Antoine Peters go head to head

Amsterdam, September 2011 'TIC'. Designer and gsus sindustries founder Jan Schrijver is making his move. 'Tac'. Now it's fashion avant-gardist Antoine Peters turn. They are playing a game of TIC TAC TOE, a metaphor for the playful cooperation between the two designers with optimism as a common denominator.
Antoine Peters has been a gsus sindustries fan from the early start in 1993. The brands quirky style had a great impact on the young fashion designer with a love for colours and prints. Antoine even remembers the route to the very first Heavens Playground store in Arnhem: 'Behind the Bijenkorf, first street to the left and the second one to the right".

Early this year, Antoine Peters knocked on Jan Schrijvers door to see if there were possibilities for a cooperation. Jan quickly opened the door for a good old brainstorm session. That session ended up in a fruitful evening on Jan's couch with the two men playing an intense game of TIC TAC TOE. Then and there the theme for the collection was born.

TIC TAC TOE is a playful line of designs that subtly brings humor and fashion together. The collection consists of 17 pieces for men and women. The features of the game literally emerge in print, silhouette and details. For example, a sweater forms a circle when the pouch is used, an elegant dress has a huge pen stroke going right through the middle, in the lining of a jacket the game is played dozens of times and buttons have contrasting pen blue stripes. The fact that these elements are intertwined in the designs, gives this collection that special touch. However fun, the special twist in design; fit, detailing and quality in both material and finish are key.

This collection is versatile and combines looks with comfort. The designs can be worn on a quiet evening at home, but there is no need to change when going to a concert later on. By working together Jan Schrijver and Antoine Peters took their creative strengths to a higher level. The designers both have a winning feeling about this cooperation. Tic Tac Toe is playful, strong and has a surprising twist; all three.. in a row.
