Jimmy White clears up to stay in 1984 World Final (Part 1)

Steve Davis led Jimmy White 12 frames to 4 after the first day of the Embassy World Championship final in 1984. Jimmy White showed himself a fierce competitor and clawed his way back to 17-15.

In the 33rd frame, it looked as if Steve Davis was going to secure his 3rd world title but he broke down and gave Jimmy a sliver of a chance.

@bogdychamp actually, he regularly got beat by hendry at any stage from 1990 onwards, and he was beat by steve davis a fair amount aswell, it wasn't just world championship finals.

He didn't win because he couldn't stand the pressure in those finals and he liked to party .He didn't train 10 hours a day like the other two who were obsessed with winning.

Ronnie O'Sullivan, Jimmy White and Alex Higgins are the best players in snooker history.

Jimmy's popular and he deserved at least one World Championship, but Davis, Hendry, and O'Sullivan are better.
