THIS IS MY LATEST HHO CELL THAT WILL ALLOW TONS OF DIFFERANT PLATE AND WIRING CONFIGUATIONS. THE FACT THAT ITS CLEAR WILL ALLOW ME TO SEE HOW EFFECTIVE THE SETUP IS.

  • red devil lye in the back ground, do you not use KOH? ok so prob a lame question, but I hear people saying KOH is better than NaOH, or NaHCO3. do you have a preference and if so could you state why please. I was thinking of using tantalum for the electrodes but it doesn't like alkali hydroxides.

  • @demnlordd666

Lye seems to work really good, and the water stays clean for a long time. I'm not sure if KOH is "better" or not. I dont know much about tantalum, so I cant help you there. as far as which design I like the best it would definetly have to be my Beast dry cell setup.

  • do you use a gasket or epoxy or silicon to bond the plexiglass? That is a really nice looking container!

  • @andywalkerplumber

    epoxy and screws

    thanks

  • Because there are no gaps between the plates for water to get by, wouldn't there be less gas production over time because of the lack in more water?

  • @mousetrap128 The water can go between the plates equally because the plastic block that the plates sit on is not sealed to the sides of the box. I realize this makes it more inefficient due to current bleeding past at this location (a flaw most cells have).

  • ya I have been toying around w/ a few designs, but the cost to produce decent test cells is pretty high. I like your construction. but sucks that if you decide it needs a tweak( once it's built ) there might not be room for minor adjustments, and having to fab more. like one of the multi cut sides woud time consuming and costly. plexi not cheap. good work, which one did you like best of the ones you made?

  • i like your construction ideas, looks good. it probably needs some more trial and error work.keep going and more power to you.
