Afghan hospitals have experienced a sharp rise in amputations - not because of fighting, but because of the worst winter weather to hit Afghanistan in more than a decade.

Dozens of people have lost limbs to frostbite and the freezing temperatures have killed at least 750 people in the last two months.

Zeina Khodr sent this report from Kabul.
