Bill Clinton, John Edwards, John F. Kennedy. They were all democrats and none of them treated their women very good now did they. Two of them had sex with other women in the white house and the other one would have but he couldn't make it to the white house so he had to do it with public money in hotels. Yep The dems love women.

lol..."i'm here in st. louis."
little girl: "what city are you in, daddy...?"
whoops! funny how he struggled over the names of the people hosting him. or seemed to have difficulty remembering, anyway.

I agree, the presumptive thing is getting very, very old. Then let's hope we soon hear some words at the DNC that counter that perception. Mrs. Obama did nothing to dispell the notion that her husband is heir-apparent. Just an opinion.

I'm behind Obama 100%, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't express concern over this "talking head" version of the next First Lady. My hope for Michelle, and maybe I'm expecting too much, was that she'd use this opportunity to show that she's able to reach people in a manner that was compelling, but instead she provided the very staged "celebrity/hollywood" delivery that needed to be avoided.
I'm sure this is the real Michelle and I applaud her as a person.
Very staged, disconnected, practiced and "presumptive".
Don't get me wrong. I'm going to support Obama, but only because of the other choice. I'm not sure that anyone should be convinced Obama is the right choice though, based on anything in this particular speech and the highly staged appearance (and words) of her husband and also the "spontaneous" questions/answers of their children.

SatNamTree: For what its worth, Hillary was my candidate of first choice. I donated to her campaign early on and know that she would have made an amazing President. My hesitations over Obama, at this point, have more to do with his ability to fight back against the right-wing smear machine as well as i know Hillary would be doing right now. Oh yeah (she had the best health care plan BY FAR). If Hillary hadnt run and we were where we are right now, wouldnt you be behind Obama 100% ?

SatNamTree: Also, all of these events are HEAVILY choreographed. Of course its STAGED, thats the point. Its a live action campaign commercial. The "presumptive" thing is getting old. Anyone running to be the most powerful single human being in the world is inherently presumptive. The kids were expecting to talk to dad, of course, but they werent reading off of a script there. come on, please.
With all the love in the world, my friend, be well.
