So, why can't union members pay the same tax on benefits as everybody else. That's not democratic ! Seems corrupt to me.

What's really funny (ironic/sad - whatever you prefer) is that the carolers sang that if we didn't get this that under the current system they would be left to die - which is a complete misstatement of the facts. Right now, there are ways to get care, but, if you're 50 or older and this passes, then what they sang will actually ring true, because the government can't take care of everybody the same - somebody has to be denied service. Somebody gets higher priority. Who do you think that will be?

Wonder why Ellison and his cronies aren't listening to the majority of Americans who are OPPOSED to government take over of health care?! That's right! Over 70% of Americans don't want it, and rather than them saying "it's controversial enough - we'll table it until after Christmas" they are going to try to sneak it through Christmas Eve. What a bunch of low-down, sneaky, unethical 'public servants.'
