Always interesting watching someone else work.

How do you get to know the drill point of locks.
I have seen some sort of template, but how do you identify the lock in the first place ???
Also, is it the same for a three lever lock as it is for a five lever lock.
-
Thank you very much, a great help!

I agree, though it's really for when there is a fault with the lock perhaps, or when doing reposessions when a faster entry is required.

Great and illustrative video!
With regards to destructive entry.
Can anyone tell me how you tell the difference between the Chubb 3G117/3G114 and the 3G114E/3G117E when you are looking at these through a door keyhole. As I understand, the characteristics of the faces and the colours are the same, but the drill points are different.
Hopefully I've got my facts right, but if not, any tuition would be much appreciated!

You can tell the difference from the Curtain wheels, which are different on the 'E' series. If you turn the curtain 90 degrees on a 114 or 117 you will only see 2mm gap from the botttom of the keyway. On the 'E' series you will see a 6mm gap. Hope that makes sense.
