QUESTION FOR ANYONE: Can ABS pipe be whie OR is black pipe strictly ABS &
white strictly PVC?

you could just q cut the pipe straight and 2 put your fingure in the pipe and wipe it

Is there a way to join it on the inside of the pipe rather than the outside. I am not running liquid through it and don't want the join to be wider than the existing pipe. I want the pipes to look flush

ABS cement (glue) on PVC pipe is not a good idea! ABS cement is for ABS pipe and ABS fittings (normally the non pressure drain lines in houses). ABS cement can deteriorate PVC pipe. Always use PVC primer and cement (glue) on PVC pipe and fittings.

Thank you very much. Very helpful to me. I liked seeing the very dark solution. It's more visible in a video and I could better see how much to use, since I haven't done this before.

I do agree with pretty much everyone else here, that was pathetic. A waste of 5 min. Should take 15 seconds at the most to do something so easy. Its def not rocket science.

I'm a licensed plumber in AZ & IL. I can't believe I watched this. Abs glue on a pvc pipe, it don't work, don't care how much pvc primer a you use. Use pvc glue, primer and or cleaner on pvc pipe. Abs glue on abs pipe. When ABS first came out u needed primer, no more. Shake primer applicator while in can and use latex gloves All pvc glue, primer and cleaner are toxic to touch and leave a cumulative effect, I assume same with abs. A single breath of these chemicals will read a bac of .03
