They know who the pack leader is. In my house its me. My huskies wont listen to anyone but me most the time so its not that they are a one man dog its that they listen to the leader.

we have a husky and i think that if some one were to threaten us he would step in but he doesnt right out become hostile to strangers. He watches our reaction. if we become anxious he does. He is definently a family dog too and loves to be with us but he would try to help us if some one was going to hurt us
