@Scorpio3062 I'm sorry learning REAL history vs. memorize standardized testing material I'd take the history lesson any day. Again, it was wrong to not discuss, plan, inform and include the parents. It should have been delivered differently however I think the real message here was about slavery. Not racism. In fact, the second you mentioned law suit, you lost my attention. Now you just sound like your looking for a quick buck... So sick of African Americans using racism as a meal ticket....

You are basically perpetuating the stereotype that all African Americans claim racism to make some money..... that 10 year old SUDDENLY knew "humiliated and degraded" Mr. Secondary History teacher, don't pretend that the child was not coached he couldn't even look at the news caster. I am African American I do have children and I would allow my children to participate in a "mock slave auction".

@Khristtana I am also a Secondary History teacher. And, absolutely not!!! that any permission should have been asked? It should of never taken place. It was a sick, disgusting judgement. And, the parent should definately sue and that teacher should never be granted license ever again. It was a vile emotional attack on this child. I can't believe this did not go viral around the world. Racism must be stopped. If you allow this then what's next? It's okay for the kids to beat the slaves?

@Khristtana So, you would not object to your child or a white child to being used as a slave here and black child. sold them? Something is really wrong for you to have the gall to say there is nothing wrong with humiliating a child. Black children have to grow up one day and learn that ppl. once thought it was proper to own another human being and that their ancestors were enslaved, beaten, degraded for centuries and those same people are not embarassed about that today. This is evil of you!!

I do not understand.... African Americans complain that american history does not include nor tell the entire story yet when a teacher made an effort to show exactly how serious racism is she's wrong....Granted, she should have asked permission, involved parents and staff yet why does the Black community always get outraged by any action taken outside of our community.
