NOTE:
This is the uncut (full-length) version of a truncated video I uploaded in 2009
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCyl1_TBrto

At the time video uploads were limited to 10 minutes in length, so I was forced to cut a lot of the important details from the video, hence the shorter version.

Since the video has been so popular (20k views) it seems like a good idea to upload the uncut version now that I can. Hopefully the extra details will make the repair process even easier. Good luck.

Tutorial applies to the following computer:
12.1 Inch Apple iBook G4

Parts:
2x250mm CCFL Backlight Lamp (see link below)
http://www.lcdparts.net/ccfldetail.aspx?ProductCCFL=MS20250

Tools:
Standard soldering iron with precision tip
Lead solder (the kind with flux core is best)
Really, really small hex wrench
A similarly small flat head screwdriver
A slightly larger flat head screwdriver
A lot of patience

Tips:
Solder in a well ventilated area on a non flammable surface
ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION
