I've been to Costa Rica four times, and moving their to live full time in December. An elderly couple in our hotel had their car broken into and lost some stuff. Petty theft is ramped in Costa Rica, but the strong arm crime doesn't seem to be too bad. The key to stay alert at all times, don't flaunt your wealth in the faces of poor Ticos, and keep a low profile if you live there. Most Ticos are very good people, better than the imported Jamaican gangs that are shooting up Toronto Canada.

I'm from Aruba and that whole nathaly haloway thing got crazy, I advice anyone that want's to visit Costa Rica . Ask someone who's been there before because I've been in Tamarindo and Manuel Antonio,not to mention this year I'm heading back to pavones JUST to surf. the point is : ask someone who's been there ,because for me it's heaven
