a homemade fisheye lens. the door peephole viewer, with a 200 degree field of view, cost about £3 from crime prevention products, it needed maybe 13 mm trimmed off the length, and fitted perfectly in the lens hole of the rubber case supplied in the veho muvi extreme sports kit, snug enough to not fall out and be maneouevrable. the veho muvi is the world's smallest camcorder, costs about £60 and using a class 6 memory card, about another £7-10. total cost of awesomely funky fisheye camcorder- £80 including postages etc.

  • lol at all the people going 'zoom in! i did with mine!' how precisely did you do that then, on a camera that has a fixed focal length lens? eh? do enlighten me! :D youtube commentards.

  • umm maybe you can cut the excess metal on the peephole the part that would normally be inside the door if you can cut it it may look better but its not bad

  • i already trimmed it down. i think my next step is experimenting withthe lens grouping to see if i can shorten it further without losing focus. if i can get it closer to the lens of the camera, it'll defo look better. just need an extra few hours in the day to do this stuff.

  • @citystarridin if u zoom in you loose the main function of the fisheye which is recording close enough to your skater and having him completely in the frame

  • @petetheloaf, Digital crop, or digital zoom. Most phones use digital zoom. Camtasia studio has digital crop for video.

  • zoom in

  • uhmm how you tried zooming in?

it looks alot better, thats what i did with mine

  • Where can you buy a fisheye attachment for this camera???

  • So if I'm not being helpful, that makes me mentally retarded?

Leave me with the sound of my own voice? Im typing these words dude, not even talking

  • for the record, you still haven't pointed me in the directio of a 'real fisheye' for the veho muvi, so i'm going to assume that you simply didn't understand the parameters of the experiemtn at hand, again classic signs of a dumbass.
