An excerpt from the documentary film, "What's the Matter with Kansas?" The recently-murdered Dr. Tiller of Wichita was a lightning rod for controversy because he was one of very few doctors in the U.S. who would perform third-trimester abortions. He was also a defiant foe of the Pro-Life movement. In 1991, protests at Tiller's clinic and others in WIchita mushroomed into a conservative takeover of Kansas' Republican Party. Viewing abortion as murder proved incredibly galvanizing in Wichita, motivating many people who'd never been involved in politics before. Tragically, the flip side of this worldview - any means may be justified to stop a mass-murderer - led to Tiller's shooting death on May 31, 2009. This act was widely condemned by activists on all sides of the abortion issue.

@AirCargoHeavy Yes, choice is justice. This has nothing to do with babies, an embryo isn't a baby any more than a sperm or egg is. Tiller did NOT murder anybody, and it's the despicable LIE that he did that got him killed.

That you go into hysterics about this procedure, used ONLY for NON-VIABLE fetuses shows you're not remotely concerned about justice or what's best for the women you want forced into butchery of unnecessary surgery.

It did grave harm to kill him.

@PrisonerNumber9653 Choice is "justice"? I don't know what millions of babies did to deserve your idea of justice. Tiller did, in fact, murder thousands. You don't stick scissors into the base of a baby's skull and say it isn't murder.

(And no, I'm not glad Tiller's dead...[for] God does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked.) Someone will move into Tiller's position. It did no good to kill him.

This is stupid :/ Most people view a baby inside the mother as the mothers responsibility and as soon as it is born it belongs to the community... It may be wrong, but it is the general conclusion, besides humans do far more hypocritical things than this why do you care about this O_O?
