07/29/10 Wahoo!!!

Today was one of those days when everything just kinda comes together perfectly! We had a morning trip with a cheerful family from Canada that was very eager to test out the fishing in our South Florida waters. Luckily, the sun was out, the ocean was flat calm, and the fish were biting! It didnt take long to hook up to our first blackfin tuna while trolling 2 miles off Boynton Inlet. The tuna wasn't a monster, but even thse little football sized ones are delicious! We pulled in 4 more tunas before getting a big bite on the deep rod, and after a brief 5 minute battle, our 12 year old angler got the best of a nice sized wahoo! After landing the wahoo, the barracudas began biting ravenously, and we caught 3 cudas over 40" long before heading in around lunch time...another Great Day of fishing!

Wow What a great entertaining video.. I always like to see someone catch their first wahoo!! great job Cat Chris and Capt Brad.. I really liked the way you taped the camera to the Gaff!! Great Job!! Loved It!!
