This is a video I recorded on June 19, 2011 of the Huachuca Mountain Monument Fire after it crawled around Carr Canyon. The winds in the area were very high at the time (25-30 mph, gusting above 40 mph). The fire started roughly 2 weeks prior to this. Many people south of Sierra Vista city limits had to evacuate from their homes. More than 20,000 acres have burned in this fire and possible 100 or more homes were completely destroyed.
Good ole SV...sad to see it burn.
