i cant get ableton to to map on the itouch. Latest automap ver, i connected to my network, setup all the midi ports. When i touch the itouch i can see signal going to ableton. Then i press learn, move the slider, and the slider in live. Live does not respond to that though. Is there something i am doing wrong?

@FTmGReek Are you using an Automap MIDI client? Have you enabled track and remote for Automap MIDI in Live's MIDI preferences?

@NovationTV Yeah i got automap program on. Says the itouch is connected. I also activated track and remote in live. There are midi signals getting sent, since ableton's signal receiver flashes. However, i click learn, then move a fader, and then the fader on the ipod but it doesnt get mapped. It only maps if i put ableton in midi map mode

@FTmGReek Ableton MIDI map mode is the mode you must use with Ableton Live and Automap for iPhone.

@NovationTV Yeah but what is the point of automap then?? If i dont save the file in ableton, all the mappings are gone. I thought automap would detect every movement, without the midi map on

@FTmGReek It can automatically map to VST/AU plugin parameters but in the case of the iPhone Automap with Live you need to use MIDI to control the mixer and devices. Our controllers have modes for Ableton Live that mean you don't need to use MIDI mapping.
