By the way, Canada has fairly lax gun control compared to most "civilized countries", you can get a lot of guns easily there that are tightly restricted here in the states. Watch the movie Bowling for Columbine by that idiot Michael Moore.... in fact, I think you canucks have more guns per person than the US. The movie hints at a more violent culture in the US.... whatever the case, the problem is not the guns... the problems are the actions of a few.

You know it would be nice if it was that simple wouldnt it? Unfortunately people do horrible things, including breaking the law. There are so many guns in the US, that we would never get rid of the ones that are already here. And after that, look at the UK, they still have illegal guns, but only for the criminals.
Think about women/the elderly. A man w/o a gun could kill/rape a woman. Why should you take her right to defend herself?
