This is an arcade shmup released by Namco in 1989. It has an interesting system where you can change your firing pattern by pressing a second button. You can also shoot either rings by tapping the fire button, or powerful balls by holding down the fire button. You have to be careful with the balls though as you only fire one group at a time.

The game is considered a spiritual sequel to Bosconian. Watch the video and you'll see why. The base section with the tanks is also reminiscent of another Namco shmup...see if you know which one.

  • did he play that game in japan or the computer rom ?

  • @kalebparham less "sequel", more "related". think Radiant Silvergun to Ikaruga.

  • why would you make a sequel to a game play completely unlike it (though this looks good either way).

  • This game is alright. Wish it played like the original Bosconian.
